Social cyber loafing, the usage of the Internet for engaging in social networking activities, is prevalent in the workplace. Prior research efforts have been made to identify negative consequences of social cyber loafing; however, there is a dire need to highlight the potential positive outcomes. By analyzing the relationship between social cyber lounging and employees' psychological wellbeing, this study adds to the body of knowledge about meditation.. An Effort-Recovery Model (ERM) is used to justify the relationship among the constructs in the conceptual model. A total of 310 private banking sector employees and managers were respondents for the study. The data was gathered through selfadministered questionnaires, using a cross-sectional research design. PLS-SEM was employed to evaluate the data and assess the hypotheses. The statistical findings strongly support the theoretical framework of the study. The results indicate that social cyber loafing is positively and significantly related to the psychological well-being of employees. Moreover, the findings show that psychological detachment and relaxation significantly mediate the relationship between social cyber loafing and the psychological well-being of employees.
